Yaki Yaki Sumo General Trias | Restaurant Design & Construction by Projexon

Project Overview:

Located at Robinsons General Trias, Cavite, Yaki Yaki Sumo brings a vibrant Japanese-inspired dining concept into a contemporary commercial setting. The project combines traditional Japanese design influences with modern restaurant elements, creating a distinctive environment that emphasizes brand identity, customer experience, and operational functionality.

Projexon Inc. handles the store design and construction, focusing on transforming the restaurant’s concept into a cohesive commercial space through thoughtful interior planning, architectural detailing, and brand integration.

Design Concept:

The design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese dining establishments while introducing a modern, casual atmosphere suited to today’s restaurant environment.

A bold red, black, and natural wood color palette establishes a recognizable Japanese-inspired aesthetic. The storefront features prominent Yaki Yaki Sumo signage, while the interior incorporates wooden ceiling slats, lantern-style lighting, decorative Japanese banners, and graphic wall treatments.

The dining area is arranged around an open service counter, allowing customers to experience the restaurant’s food preparation and presentation. A combination of individual tables and upholstered bench seating provides flexibility for different dining groups while maintaining efficient circulation throughout the space.

The overall design balances cultural character, visual appeal, and practical restaurant operations.

Key Features:

  • Efficient Space Planning: Organized retail areas that maximize product displays while maintaining comfortable customer movement.
  • Brand Integration: Consistent visual elements that reinforce Datablitz’s identity throughout the store.
  • Product Display Optimization: Structured shelving and merchandising areas for gaming consoles, accessories, collectibles, and software.
  • Lighting and Visibility: Lighting considerations that improve product presentation and enhance the shopping environment.
  • Functional Retail Layout: Practical arrangements that support customer browsing, transactions, and staff operations.

The Yaki Yaki Sumo – Robinsons General Trias project demonstrates how restaurant design can combine cultural inspiration with modern commercial functionality.

Through the integration of Japanese-inspired architectural elements, efficient space planning, and strong visual branding, the proposed design creates a welcoming and recognizable dining environment that supports both customer comfort and daily restaurant operations.
